The story of the piece

Ananas twist is a basket with all the poise of a classic, yet no intention whatsoever of behaving itself – much like its owner.

On its woven straw, framed with cognac leather details, two crocheted compositions answer one another. On the left, a small, colourful harvest: tomatoes, an aubergine, a kiwi, a lemon, a watermelon. On the right, a generous pineapple, almost a jewel, which gives the piece its volume and its character.

The basket keeps its line: bold, structured, sun-drenched.
The crochet adds a touch of the extraordinary.

Each fruit is hand-crocheted in cotton, then carefully assembled so the whole stays easy to read despite the abundance. The shapes are tight, the details visible, the colours bold. The piece stays joyful without turning childish, decorative without becoming a gimmick.
